Hurricane Gustav Clean Up Effort

Right on the heels of hurricane Gustav, ITEC Drywall deployed over 20 men and supplies such as tarps, brooms, chainsaws, generators, and shovels to the Baton Rouge area to begin assisting cleanup efforts in the distressed area.

"Baton Rouge received some of the worst damage from the storm." says ITEC Superintendent Cory Jeansonne, who, along with fellow Superintendent George Swanson, witnessed Gustav first hand in Baton Rouge on Monday, September 1.

In time our efforts should expand from Baton Rouge down to our home away from home in New Orleans and the surrounding area.

Decisions Set for Proposed ITEC Development in Honduras

Plans are in motion to build a 5 story, 200 unit resort style beach front hotel in La Ceiba, Honduras. The hotel will include 15 condo units and a penthouse overlooking the ocean.

Along with this development we have scouted several larger properties with plans to develop a casino resort which will include a casino, a 1,200+ room beach front hotel. Several beach front land plots are available for further hotel and housing development. This property leaves room for future expansion to include retail space along the south side of the property. The plot itself includes 1200' of ocean/beach front and over 2000' of river side.

Already underway is our housing project which is combining forces with local Honduras based company Corporation America to develop 40+ medium priced homes.

Trip to Honduras

Tomorrow we will be flying over to Honduras to further explore building opportunities in La Ceiba. We will be visiting several of the surrounding areas including the Island of Roatán in hopes of finding new development opportunities that will benefit the city and its people.

Pastor Willie Walker, a local hero who rescued hundreds of people during the Katrina devastation, and his congregation were currently using a dilapidated house to continue church services at Noah's Ark Missionary Baptist Church, which has been serving New Orleans for over 60 years. Though Pastor Walker had helped countless people, he had never been able to rebuild his own church - fast forward to last Sunday, the day we were set to sheetrock, finish, and texture the building that would be the new Noah's Ark Missionary Baptist Church.
