What is green?

The idea behind "green" construction is to create projects with minimal impact on the enviroment. This can be achieved by using sustainable materials to create the building materials themselves, or to power the finished home.

A well designed green building will save money and create healthier environments for people to live and work, using improved indoor air quality, natural daylight, and thermal comfort.

Energy Use

Because of rising energy costs and theories on global warming, energy efficiency and conservation have become a high priority.

Green buildings focus on reducing building energy usage and increasing occupant comfort.

Sustainable Materials

Our building materials are made of sustainable materials that do not deplete the environment of resources. Our sheetrock is made of a limestone and salt mixture, and the papered version is covered with 100% recycled paper. The wood used for our studs and custom built cabinets is cut from forests grown specifically for building purposes. The metal studs we install are made of a high percentage of recycled metal. The paints that we use release vapors that are friendlier to the environment than regular paints.

Green Key Goals

  • reduced energy use
  • water conservation
  • recycling waste
